We specialise in taking away the stress and worry involved in the planning element and support you right through any consultation phases through to delivery out on site.
Consultation
Our qualified events team have a wealth of experience and will be on hand to offer you our expertise throughout the early stages.
They will talk you through any process required for approval of your event licence, as well as investigate and detail all potential areas of risk for consideration. We ensure that we fully understand the route or area of your event and ensure that this is safe for participants, spectators or road users. On initial consultation we will visit the site or area to undertake a survey to best understand the site layout. We can attend safety advisory group meetings (SAG) with local authorities, stakeholders, local community representatives or emergency services if required.
As with any event the success of it lays with getting it right during the early stages. We have a vast amount of experience in handling both small and large scale events and have the team and expertise to get things moving in the right direction from step one.
Design / Planning
Our team of CAD planners will be able to provide comprehensive traffic management plans ensuring all interested parties will have a clear visual guide to the services we shall be providing for your event.
These in detail plans often act as the primary point of reference when it comes to getting the final green light from the local authority. We can apply for any temporary traffic regulation orders (TTRO’s) and assist with traffic light permits or street work licences on your behalf.
Our team of five CAD Planners are all LANTRA M7 Trained and each plan goes through a two-phase checking system to ensure all compliance and design issues have been considered and complied with. Our team have drawn nearly 40,000 CAD plans during their time at TMO Highways. Our workflow system allows you to deal with any member of our team without needing to speak to just one specific team member. We have a transparent planning workflow which allows you to check where the design stage is at during any point of its process.
Operational Delivery
Our event team will have had a detailed briefing prior to any event and we will assign a dedicated event Manager to be your single point of contact.
They shall be your point of contact in the run up to your event and liaise with the team on site on the day. We can provide car park marshalling, gate personnel, security personnel and CSAS qualified operatives. All of our traffic management systems are installed, maintained and removed by our qualified operatives. We work to ensure there is the minimum amount of disruption to the road network and surrounding residents through planning at the start of the process.
Over the years we have assisted with city-scale city rides, regattas, triathlons, fireworks displays, military parade days, car events, christmas shows and much more.
Our vast experience of working on the highway means that we can ensure the safety of participants and spectators alike.
Signage & Equipment
We can provide for all your signage and equipment requirements. We can supply and deploy advance warning signage and undertake letter drops for impacted local residents. We also offer the latest variable messaging systems and the installation of no parking cones prior to the event. Our in-house signlab technicians can manufacture and provide site specific signage to assist with the smooth running of the event and ensure that road users, participants or members of public clearly understand what is expected of them.
All of our signage and equipment is compliant to legislation and will ensure that all impacted parties will clearly know what is expected of them come the day of your event. Clear and precise signage avoids confusions and lowers the risk of accidents as well as ensuring any unnecessary complaints or objections are received.
