Great news for TMO Highways and Cadent Gas

We’re proud to share that TMO Highways has been awarded a new contract to supply traffic management services to Cadent Gas.

TMO Highways has been awarded the new contract to supply traffic management services to Cadent Gas across the East of Anglia.

Over the past five years, we’ve steadily expanded our reach by focusing on high‑quality, safe and dependable traffic management, and this award marks another significant milestone in that journey. Under this contract, we’ll now be supporting Cadent Gas operations across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, while also acting in a supporting role across Suffolk and Essex.

From early starts and long shifts to managing live traffic situations and keeping road users and colleagues safe, the traffic management industry has its fair share of stress.

The upgrade follows a practical suggestion from the organisation’s Fleet & Plant Manager, who identified an opportunity to improve working conditions, particularly during low‑light operations.

TMO Highways has announced the rollout of new footwell spotlights across its fleet of vans, enhancing visibility and safety for drivers during both entry and exit. The upgrade follows a practical suggestion from the organisation’s Fleet & Plant Manager, who identified an opportunity to improve working conditions, particularly during low‑light operations.

Ashley Hall-Smith recently passed his Institute of Highways Engineers Temporary Traffic Management Engineer Diploma.

Ashley has been working hard over the past 12 months and learning a lot along the way.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from one of our own. A huge congratulations to Ashley Hall Smith who has successfully passed his Institute of Highways Engineers Temporary Traffic Management Engineer Diploma.

This year long programme required real dedication from Ash who completed an intensive six-day course in Birmingham followed by thirteen written assignments of three thousand words each. The learning covered highways legislation, highways fundamentals, traffic data collection and analysis, temporary traffic systems, vehicle restraint systems, road marking, supporting technology and sign face design principles.

Another Milestone reached as a major project is completed.

From 6th October 2025 through to 27th March 2026, our Traffic Management Operatives completed an impressive 606 shifts, ensuring every closure, diversion, and safety measure was delivered to the highest standard.
