Ashley Varley – Assistant Contracts Manager

Ashley began his career in traffic management in 2011, starting out as an operative and quickly showing a strong aptitude for planning and coordination. By 2015, he had progressed into a planning role, later developing his expertise further as a Schemes Planner. His drive for continuous improvement saw him take on new challenges as a Planning Manager with another firm, before joining TMO in 2023.

Since joining TMO, Ashley has held a number of positions across the planning function, each building on his technical knowledge, leadership skills, and commitment to delivering efficient, safety-focused traffic management solutions. In his current role, he continues to play a key part in shaping successful projects and supporting the growth of the planning team.

Outside of work, Ashley is a keen footballer and lifelong Manchester United fan. He’s played for local clubs including Halesworth, Sheringham, and Bungay, and remains passionate about fitness and self-improvement. Ashley also volunteers with a charity dedicated to supporting people struggling with poor mental health and loneliness — a cause close to his heart.
