Road Safety Week

TMO Jumps into road traffic safety week with the charity Brake

TMO Staff are all talking about road safety this week and learning about different ways to help out.

This year, TMO Highways is proud to be part of Road Safety Week, the UK’s largest annual road-safety campaign, organised by the charity Brake. Running from 16–22 November 2025, this initiative brings together schools, businesses, communities — and us — to spread vital messages about safer roads.

The 2025 theme is “Safe vehicles save lives”. Brake Not just a slogan — it’s a call to action. More than 1,700 people die every year on UK roads, and another 30,000 suffer serious, life-changing injuries.

TMO Highways is stepping up because we believe every crash is preventable, and that safer vehicles are critical to reducing the harm when accidents do happen.

Operating across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, London, TFL areas, and Lincolnshire, our teams average well over 170,000 miles a month so road safety is a big one for us!

How You Can Help / Get Involved

  • Sign up for Road Safety Week via Brake’s website to get access to their free action pack.
  • If you’re in a team that uses vehicles, talk to your manager about doing a safety check event.
  • Join or host a Big Tea Brake — it’s low-effort, high impact.
  • Spread the word on social media / internal channels, using messages from the Brake resources.
