TMO joins forces with Costain to sponsor school disco at Clore Shalom school.
After extensive works happened outside the school to repair and replace gas pipes TMO Highways and Costain decided chipping in on the school disco would be a great way to give something back.
TMO Highways, in partnership with Costain, has marked the completion of significant improvement works outside the Clore Shalom school by sponsoring a school disco as a gesture of appreciation to pupils, staff, and families for their patience during the project.
The works, designed to enhance reliability of the gas network and the traffic management designed to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible around the school, represent a meaningful investment in the local community. Throughout the project, both TMO Highways and Costain remained committed to minimising disruption and maintaining clear communication with the school.
“We recognise that construction works can be challenging for those living and learning nearby,” a TMO Highways spokesperson said. “Sponsoring the school’s event was a simple but heartfelt way of saying thank you for the cooperation and understanding shown throughout the programme.”
Costain echoed this commitment to community engagement, noting that supporting local schools and families is an important part of delivering infrastructure responsibly.
School leaders expressed their appreciation for the gesture and for the positive relationship maintained throughout the works.
The successful completion of the project, combined with the community-focused support provided by TMO Highways and Costain, underscores their commitment not only to improving local infrastructure but also to strengthening the communities they serve.
Operating across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, London, TFL areas, and Lincolnshire TMO Highways put social value as a core focus across all our contracts. Social value refers to the positive, lasting benefits a project brings to the community beyond the physical works themselves—such as supporting local schools, improving wellbeing, creating opportunities for young people, engaging with residents, and contributing to the local economy. By prioritising these broader outcomes, TMO ensures that every project not only improves infrastructure but also strengthens the communities we work within.
