The Long Stratton Bypass project has reached a major milestone, with the first of the large road closures completed successfully and without disruption. This marks an important step forward in the ongoing development of the much-anticipated bypass, a project that will bring lasting improvements to traffic flow and safety in the area.
Working closely with Octavius from the early planning stages through to the recent execution, our team has ensured that every detail of this first closure was carefully managed. The collaborative effort paid off, resulting in a well-coordinated operation that kept the project on track and local impact to a minimum.
This is just the beginning. The project requires a series of further closures to complete the next phases of construction. The A140 will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am on 25 July. Following that, a full closure is scheduled from 8pm on 1 August until 6am on 4 August. Another overnight closure will take place on 7 August from 8pm to 6am. A further full closure will then follow from 8pm on 8 August through to 6am on 11 August.
We’re continuing to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure these upcoming closures are managed with the same level of care and efficiency. As progress continues, we’ll keep providing updates and doing everything we can to minimise disruption while delivering a bypass that will benefit the community for years to come.
