At the Riu Plaza Hotel in Victoria, our client needed to replace the glass panels across the front entrance high-value, high-risk work on one of central London’s busiest frontages, with hotel guests arriving, pedestrians passing and traffic flowing all around it.

Before a single panel could be lifted, the street had to be made safe. That’s where TMO came in.  Traffic Management in London  and Event Management in the wider TFL Area are often tricky compared to other areas due to the specific needs of local councils while working in the UK’s busiest city, but for us it’s just another day and something we are well prepared for.

A Huge achievement

Ashley Hall-Smith recently passed his Institute of Highways Engineers Temporary Traffic Management Engineer Diploma.

Ashley has been working hard over the past 12 months and learning a lot along the way. 

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from one of our own.  A huge congratulations to Ashley Hall Smith who has successfully passed his Institute of Highways Engineers Temporary Traffic Management Engineer Diploma.

This year long programme required real dedication from Ash who completed an intensive six-day course in Birmingham followed by thirteen written assignments of three thousand words each. The learning covered highways legislation, highways fundamentals, traffic data collection and analysis, temporary traffic systems, vehicle restraint systems, road marking, supporting technology and sign face design principles.

We’re proud to share the successful completion of a high‑profile set‑out programme supporting the resurfacing of 40,601m² of highway — a significant undertaking delivered seamlessly through dedication, precision, and exceptional coordination. From 6th October 2025 through to 27th March 2026, our Traffic Management Operatives completed an impressive 606 shifts, ensuring every closure, diversion, and safety measure was delivered to the highest standard.

TMO Proud to be present as the first public use of Long Stratton bypass gets underway!

The Bypass opened for public use on the 11th August 2025 

The much-anticipated Long Stratton Bypass officially opened to the public on 11 August 2025, ahead of schedule. Excited motorists queued up to be among the first to drive along the newly completed route, which now diverts traffic away from the heart of Long Stratton, Norfolk.

 

Local residents have campaigned for this development for many years, citing the need to ease congestion and improve safety in the village. Their efforts have now paid off, with the bypass promising smoother journeys and a quieter, safer environment for the community.
