Planning Department Expands
With the recent growth across East Anglia as well as our new St Neots Depot opening in Bedfordshire our planning team has welcome two new starters into its ranks.
Joining the team is the highly experienced Ashley Varley who is stepping back into the traffic management industry having previously worked his way up from trainee operative to planning manager. Ashley’s knowledge and professionalism will fit right in with our existing planning team and we are sure he will be a hit with the clients. As well as Ashley joining we have promoted from within. Tom Godbold, our sign maker has long expressed an interest in stepping in to planning and will be starting his new role on Wednesday 11th October 2023.
New Depot Fully Operational
Our new depot based at Little Staughton near St Neots has now opened its doors for trading. The first jobs left the yard officially on Monday morning and will help us serve our new contractual obligations in the Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire region, as well as allowing us to continue to push further afield with our coverage.
The depot will host the latest in traffic light technology as well as our usual stock of traffic, pedestrian and event management equipment. This fifth operational location has opened due to our ongoing commitment to service to our clients who are increasingly asking us to cover other geographical areas of their business, with us often taking those areas from nearby competitors.
TMO Highways achieve 100% Achilles audit scores once again
We are delighted to announce that we have once again obtained top marks for our Achilles UVDB audit which was undertaken at the end of August 2023. This is the second time in 3 years that we have seen 100%’s across all aspects of this industry respected accreditation and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our skilled team.
We welcomed the Achilles auditor to our head office for a 2 day audit which covered, Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) management systems and Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR). By undertaking the assessment process our customers can see our commitment and ability in achieving top marks in all those areas.
TMO Highways recommended for ISO14001 for another 12 months
Following our annual visit from BSI we are happy that we have once again retained our ISO14001 accreditation. During the 5 day visit we showcased our commitments to reducing our impact on the environment whilst still being able to deliver our high standards that our clients expect from us.
Delivering traffic management across East Anglia and London means we clock up a lot of miles and whilst the electric vehicle technology isn’t quite where it needs to be to run a fleet of 40 flatbeds across such a vast area we do still invest in other areas of business where we can.
