The Bypass opened for public use on the 11th August 2025 

The much-anticipated Long Stratton Bypass officially opened to the public on 11 August 2025, ahead of schedule. Excited motorists queued up to be among the first to drive along the newly completed route, which now diverts traffic away from the heart of Long Stratton, Norfolk.

 

Local residents have campaigned for this development for many years, citing the need to ease congestion and improve safety in the village. Their efforts have now paid off, with the bypass promising smoother journeys and a quieter, safer environment for the community.

Long Stratton Bypass Project

TMO Highways is proud to be working with Octavius (https://www.octavius.co.uk/)  on the Long Stratton Bypass project—a transformative 3.9km route designed to ease congestion and enhance connectivity for the community.

This long-awaited infrastructure, featuring multiple roundabouts and bridges, marks a significant milestone after more than 20 years of local campaigning.
